Meilisearch Upgrade¶

This is a step by step tutorial for the Meilisearch dump upgrade.

Prepare¶

Set the Meilisearch master key and url.

API_URL=
API_KEY=

Create a backup of Meilisearch data.

Navigate into the Ansible-Build directory.

cd ~/Ansible-Build

Trigger dump creation.

curl \
  -X POST "http://$API_URL/dumps" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $API_KEY"

Check status of dump creation.

Deploy new Meilisearch image with Ansible.

Connect to the host.

task connect-host eros

Enter the Meilisearch container.

docker exec

Import the dump.

./meilisearch --import-dump dumps/{dump_uid.dump} --master-key="MASTER_KEY"

Delete dump files.
